Vauxhall City Farm

We are lucky in central London to have so many amazing city farms.  Tucked away, often next to some fairly deprived housing estates, these little patches of land give our kids the chance to get up close and personal to real animals and how they are cared for.

We have been going to Vauxhall since the boy was tiny, but it has really come into its own in the last few months.  He knows the names of lots of the animals, and their noises, and he loves running around pointing them out.  And this place has everything - from guinea pigs and ferrets to hens and turkeys to llamas and horses.  He can even have a pony riding lesson here when he is a little older!

A fun morning - and a free, accessible and vaguely educational one to boot.

I'm linking this up to Coombe Mill's "Country Kids" linky, for the first time.

  2. Welcome to Country Kids! It's lovely to see children connecting with animals and city farms like these are an ideal place for them to interact and gain confidence around them, he would fit in well here at Coombe. Thanks for linking up and sharing your fun with Country Kids.
